Quick Start Guide

Create your first allergen menu at your own pace. Gather your recipes and supplier allergen information before you begin. This guide walks you through the essential steps.

Step 1: Create Your Account

1. Go to allergenius.co.uk/signup
2. Enter your email and business details
3. Choose the right business type, plan and billing period — compare plans
4. Complete payment through Stripe
5. Open your confirmation email and follow the link to set your password

If you cannot find the email, check your spam folder. For account or payment help, see Account Setup and Payments and Account Access.

Step 2: Create Your First Location

Once logged in, you'll land on your Dashboard.

1. Click "Create Your First Location" (or "Add Location" if you already have a location)
2. Enter your location name
3. Click "Add Location"

Your location is now created with a unique QR code ready to use.

Step 3: Add a Menu

1. Click on your newly created location
2. Click "Add Menu"
3. Give your menu a name (e.g., "Main Menu", "Lunch Menu")
4. Click "Add Menu"

Step 4: Add Menu Items

1. Click on your menu to open it
2. Click "Add to Menu"
3. Fill in the item details:

• Name: The dish name
• Description: Brief description (optional)
• Category: Select a category (Starters, Main Course, etc.)
• Allergens: Check all allergens the dish contains
• Dietary Labels: Mark Vegetarian or Vegan where appropriate

When the details are complete, click "Add Item".

Repeat for each menu item. Follow Add Menu Items and Adding Allergen Information for the full instructions, including specific cereals and nuts and May Contain notes.

Step 5: Display Your QR Code

1. Go back to your location page
2. Find the QR Code section
3. Click "Display QR Code & Menu Link", then "Download QR Code"
4. Scan it yourself, check the menu and display it where customers can easily scan it

That's it! Customers can now scan your QR code and view your menu with full allergen information.
