Download Your Menu as PDF

You can download a paper copy from your menu page in the dashboard. A PDF is a snapshot of the information at the time you download it; saved and printed copies do not update automatically when you edit your digital menu.

Downloading Your Menu

Open your location in the dashboard
Open the menu you want to download
Click "Download Menu PDF"
Wait for the PDF to finish generating and save it to your device

If you have not created a menu yet, start with Create a Menu and Add Menu Items.

What the Standard PDF Includes

Menu name
Items organised by category, excluding archived items
Item names and descriptions
Allergen information
May Contain warnings and notes
Vegetarian and Vegan labels
Contains alcohol notices, where recorded
Nutritional text or a nutrition label image, where enabled for the item

The standard PDF does not include dish photos, your location logo or disclaimer, the detailed cereal and nut breakdowns, or the enhanced gluten-free badges. It does not offer customer filtering or translation. Check the public menu for the full customer-facing information.

The enhanced PDF and downloads directly from the public menu are currently restricted to admin testing, not general customer access. The in-app allergen matrix download is also restricted to admin testing.

Printing

The export uses a fixed A4 format. There are no export settings for orientation, layout, colours or which details to include.

Use your printer's A4 setting
Check the print preview and make sure no text is cut off
Use colour if you include a nutrition label image
Make the printed information easy to read and available to customers

Keeping Paper Copies Accurate

Whenever recipes, suppliers or preparation methods change:

Update the affected menu items
Review their allergen information
Download a new PDF
Replace outdated printed copies

Your existing QR code continues to open the digital menu. It does not update a PDF already saved or printed. A PDF alone does not guarantee legal compliance; staff must check the information and follow appropriate allergen procedures.

The free allergen matrix page offers PDF and Excel templates for recording allergen information. These are separate from your menu PDF and do not automatically synchronise with your account.

Troubleshooting

PDF Does Not Download

Wait for generation to finish
Check your internet connection and browser download settings
Try again in a different browser
Contact us if it still fails

Information Is Missing

Check that the item was saved and is not archived
Check the relevant allergen, dietary and alcohol settings
For nutrition, enable the item setting and provide either text or an image
Remember that the standard PDF does not contain every visual detail shown on the public menu
